Mark Rosanova, MD is a native of the Chicago area, who has spent his entire life, striving for excellence. As a dedicated surgeon, he enjoys the intellectual and personal aspect of practicing ophthalmology. Dr. Rosanova has been serving the Hoffman Estates and Barrington areas and the NW side of Chicago for 29 years, working tirelessly, precisely and decisively to help patients achieve their goals. He employs the latest equipment, techniques, theories, and formulas to make the correct decisions along the way, and answers all questions in a straight forward, clear understandable manner. Dr. Rosanova prides himself on providing personal, attentive care of every one of his refractive cataract patients, even providing his personal cell phone number to each patient.
Dr. Rosanova enjoys partnering with patients to restore the vision they once had or have always wanted to have. He enjoys the challenge of gathering and reviewing the data, formulating a plan and then executing that plan as perfectly as possible. He especially enjoys his patients’ satisfaction and happiness in achieving their visual goals.
Dr. Rosanova’s drive to learn and excel began at an early age. He graduated from the 238-year-old Prep School, Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, New Hampshire, at the top of his class. Accepted at 18 yrs old into Medical School from Exeter, Dr. Rosanova then entered the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University Medical School. He completed an Externship at the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England followed by two years of Medical Internship at Swedish Covenant Hospital/Rush University. He returned to Northwestern where he completed a Residency in Ophthalmology. After 2 years of private group practice, Dr. Rosanova, returned to Academia, completing a Fellowship in Cataract Surgery while teaching cataract surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical School as an Associate Professor. He later returned to Chicago to open a solo practice.
Dr. Rosanova is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a member of various national and international medical and ophthalmologic organizations. In his free time, Dr. Rosanova enjoys traveling, reading, computer science and his dog.
